Best hotels in Batam for a family weekend getaway
The best seaside hotel
On a clear day, you can see Sentosa island from your room’s balcony at this waterfront resort. It’s literally a stone’s throw away from Singapore — an important factor for a busy family that needs to maximise holiday time by minimising travel time.
With spacious villas that cater to families, the seafront properties at Ktm Resort Batam are ideal for a weekend getaway. Families with children are advised to book the Two Bedroom Villa (suitable for 2 adults and 2 kids).

The zenith of Batam’s affordable luxury scene, this top rated hotel has it all. With villas with private infinity pools, a luxury spa, premier kids club and babysitting services, discerning hotel-stayers will find every comfort necessary for a perfect weekend getaway at Montigo Resorts Nongsa.
The Premier One-bedroom Villa is the best choice for families as it fits up to five people. After the 2nd guest, any additional guests cost S$40 extra (cost includes breakfast). Families with teenagers won’t have to bring their video game consoles as they’re already set up in the rooms here!

The best in family-friendly amenities
Located in Batam’s entertainment district, Nagoya, Harmoni Suites is great for families with young kids as each room has an in-room kitchenette, making warming bottles as easy as pie. No headache storing food either given there are fridges (which is a facility that’s a luxury these days). Bathing your baby is also easy as each room is equipped with a bathtub. Connecting rooms make it convenient for joint-family trips.
The best swimming pool for families
Three words…big swimming pool! The largest in Batam to be precise. With every sort of water activity on offer plus a kids club, guests can expect a fun-filled weekend stay at the Harris Resort Waterfront Batam. While it can get pretty busy like at any other popular resort, guests love it because staff here are experienced in catering to families with kids. Less planning necessary for parents! Plus there’s a super spacious family room.

The best in hotel entertainment
A rooftop pool that looks right out onto the sea, a range of spa treatments, and an entertaining games room housed in a grand looking hotel make the Harmoni One an easy choice for families who don’t mind a bit of opulence when it doesn’t detract from the fun. Also located in the Nagoya entertainment district, the hotel is a favourite among Singaporeans for a shopping and food-filled “almost” staycation.
The best in hotel spas
If you’re a sore-all-over parent from piggybacking your kids all day, the Best Western Premier Panbil’s Eska Spa is your godsend. Other parents who’ve stayed here sure say so. Of the other great reviews left by guests, we found the yummy food, speedy check-in and out, and overall topnotch service reflective of the international hotel brand to be the most useful in helping us decide on this hotel for our weekend getaway.

The best in spaciousness
The Holiday Inn is an oldie but goodie sort of hotel for families. Space is important for kids to run around, and with three outdoor pools, this resort guarantees plenty of it! Kids reign supreme here as they get more than the adults do! What we mean by that is that there are kids slides at the pool, a kids club, playground, games room, and a kid’s massage at the Tea Tree Spa. There is one spot that’s adults-only however, and that’s the hot tub (parents can enjoy this while their kiddos are at the kids club).
Holiday Inn Resort Batam
The best in all-rounders
Like many of the other hotels on our list, this hotel has both a pool and kids-pool, a spa with traditional Indonesian massage treatments, and nice onsite restaurants. Rooms all come with balconies and are tastefully modern (by international standards).
In Batam’s popular Nagoya district, the I Baloi Batam is convenient for families wanting to enjoy shopping while in town.
