Great Wolf Lodge, Wisconsin Dells

1/4

“Family fun” and “Great Wolf Lodge” are natural companions, which is why this Wisconsin Dells waterpark hotel is as popular as ever. Whether you’re coming in from Milwaukee, the Twin Cities, or beyond, you’ll find that Great Wolf Lodge – Wisconsin Dells is the perfect family escape, rain or shine.

Kids will love the indoor water slides and families can enjoy the various games, attractions, and activities onsite together. When you think about it, it’s incredible just how much is packed under one roof, and we haven’t even touched on the spacious suites, on-site dining options, and shopping outlets. Oh, and did we mention there’s even a kid’s spa? (If you’ve already clicked away to your calendar to start planning your trip, we don’t blame you.)

The Waters of Minocqua, Minocqua

1/4

If you’re really looking to get away from it all, you might consider a timbered, Northwoods-themed retreat to the hotel and waterpark at The Waters of Minocqua. This property is oozing with homey charisma, blending in nicely with the northern Wisconsin aesthetic, all the while offering the modern comforts of the day. Indoor and outdoor pools with slides and a kiddie play area will keep the young ones plenty occupied throughout the day. The Waters of Minocqua is also pet-friendly, so feel free to bring Fido (are dogs still named Fido?) along for the trip!

Tundra Lodge Resort Waterpark & Conference Center, Green Bay

1/4

Size matters when it comes to waterparks, so you’ll be happy to know that the Tundra Lodge Resort Waterpark & Conference Center is the largest of its kind in Northeast Wisconsin with two three-story tall water slides and an interactive water playground for the kids. You’ll also find the only lazy river and whirlpool in all of Green Bay. Parents, meanwhile, will enjoy the rustic charm of the lodge, accentuated by massive wood timbers and a 45-foot stone fireplace.

Of course the kids can’t spend the entire day in the water or they’ll shrivel up into tiny (albeit still hyper) prunes. To keep the fun going, send them over to the Gold Rush Arcade with more than 70 arcade games. Once they’re tucked in, parents can head back out to the Yukon Jax Bar & Grill or enjoy the signature prime rib at the Caribou Restaurant.

Blue Harbor Resort, Sheboygan

1/4

Sheboygan isn’t just one of the most-fun-to-pronounce city names (seriously, you can’t be angry and say “Sheboygan”), but it’s also a vacation favorite on the western shores of serene Lake Michigan. The Blue Harbor Resort is a 43,000-square-foot juggernaut of an indoor water park, outfitted with a nautical theme meant to encapsulate the spirit of the Great Lakes.

The property includes 180 hotel rooms, 64 villas, and an absurd array of amenities to dazzle any type of visiting family (or friends or couples). Besides the waterpark, you’ve got mini-golf, eco-friendly lakeshore hiking trails, and just a short jaunt away, shopping, golf, and even charter fishing. By the end of your stay, you’ll be signing their mantra — “It’s Better At The Blue.”

Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark, Lake Geneva

1/4

Last but certainly not least, we have the Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Within the lodge is Moose Mountain Falls featuring a 50,000-square foot indoor/outdoor water park with two waterslides, a lazy river, and splash pools complete with interactive features. The slides themselves are 35-feet-high and send you off on a 300-foot-long ride full of twists and turns, splashing to a grand finale in a heated pool. Want your kids to take it easy? Little ones can stay safe in the “Tiny Timbers” area but still play with a number of swings, slides, spouts, and the waterpark-favorite mushroom waterfall. Once they’ve gotten their sea legs, so to speak, they can move on to the activity pool (usually ages 7-10) with a rope climb and water basketball court, before moving on to the adventures of Canyon River, Timber Rapids, and Avalanche Falls.
