Where to stay in Hong Kong and Macau with children

Waterparks, themed rooms, and kid's clubs. The kids will have a ball of fun during your stay in Hong Kong and Macau

We’ve chosen these hotels as the best in the HK/Macau region for families with children not because they have boring old baby cots (any hotel has those) but because they have super cool fantasy-themed rooms and awesome in-hotel entertainment that’d rival the best theme parks. Our last hotel literally has its own 75,000-square-metre waterpark!

A Hong Kong hotel that will have your kids pretending to be astronauts!

Children should be left to dream for as long as they can, and what better way to encourage their unbridled creativity than by staying at a fun, family-friendly hotel? Imagine how happy your adventurous child will be getting to sleep on a bed shaped like a crater on the moon or waking up in a room full of dinosaurs! And, for the whole family, there are awesome, water slide equipped, outdoor pools!

After giving your kids such a tremendous surprise, we can almost guarantee you’ll have the best-behaved children on your family holiday in Hong Kong. The Gold Coast hotel is located on Castle Peak Road, right on the Golden Beach.

Kids can get pampered at this Macau hotels

The JW Kids Club in JW Marriott Hotel Macau isn’t your run of the mill children’s club. 800-square-metres and decorated in slides, fabric swing chairs, and equipped with a video game room, the club is more like a kid’s paradise. Your children will be kept busy in the best possible of ways with classes such as yoga, cooking, and handicraft for them to choose from.

Does your little one need a haircut? Be glad you waited till your holiday to do it as kids will love sitting in miniature versions of vintage police cars while they get their haircut at the Kids Salon. While your kids are taken care of by hotel staff book yourself a massage, relax in the whirlpool or head down to the pool for a dip and cocktail.

The only resort experience in Macau

1/3

Part of the Galaxy Macau complex of hotels, of which JW Marriott is also a part of, we’ve ended our list with something extra special…Hotel Okura Macau. The five star has access to The Grand Resort Deck – a 75,000-square-metre waterpark that is home to a 575-metre Skytop Aquatic Adventure River Ride, a wave pool, a white sand beach, and white water rapids.

When they say “it’s the only resort experience in Macau” it doesn’t do the resort deck justice because we’d say it’s better than a resort! Surrounded by tropical gardens and an array of poolside restaurants, families can easily spend their whole holiday at the deck – if you don’t need to get out of that swimsuit to go to dinner, why would you?
