Where to stay with toddlers in Singapore

If you're planning your next family holiday, we've got the scoop on the best toddler-friendly hotels in Singapore.

You want a holiday where the main requirement is that it should be easy to plan because you have a toddler–a staycation at a toddler-friendly hotel is exactly what you need. Toddler-friendly means there are age appropriate in-room amenities, shallow swimming pools, staff who are trained to take care of toddlers, and of course fun stuff for the kids.

Staff who are more like family friends

1/3

Looking for a hotel that’s got a ‘where everybody knows your name’ vibe? When the housekeeping staff at Swissotel Merchant Court know you have a toddler they go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need. Your room will always be stocked with extra bottled water for you to make baby bottles with. Also, the hotel will prepare age-appropriate toys for your toddler which they can enjoy upon check-in. One review mentioned how while they forgot to request a roll-away bed for their little one the staff anticipated they’d need one and prepared it along with adding extra toiletries.

When it comes to family-friendly hotel facilities, there’s a pool for toddlers which has its own mini slide as well as its own lounge area where parents can relax in the comfort of other families. There are also interconnecting rooms if you’re travelling with a larger group.

Themed rooms let kids be kids

Toddlers will love Resorts World Sentosa’s Festive Hotel because, quite frankly, the Festive Hotel experience caters more to kids than adults (big kids included). The family room, for instance, comes with a loft bed for kids, and the waiting area in the lobby has Lego blocks for toddlers to play with. If your tot is on the younger side then a cot can be requested.

Parents who have trouble getting their child to bathe will love that the large bathrooms come with a bathtub which can make for a toddler-worthy bubble bath. There’s also a stool for toddlers to access the sink easily–a great source of ‘proud parent moments’ as you watch your potty trained toddlers wash their hands!

Order perfect toddler food through room service

1/3

Located on Orchard Road, Royal Plaza on Scotts offers direct access to the free water park for toddlers called ‘Far East Organization Children’s Garden’ at Gardens by the Bay. This compensates for the fact there’s no hotel pool specifically for toddlers. Other elements that make this hotel toddler-friendly is the fact staff know how to care for toddlers e.g. the room service team can prepare baby food properly, putting parents’ minds at ease, and babysitting services are offered through housekeeping. And, should you want to dine out, toddlers dine for free at top-rated restaurant Carousel.

Is your toddler rambunctious? Playpens can be requested in rooms at no extra cost. Room tip is to go for the family room which, with two double beds, accommodates 2 adults and 2 children. If you’re travelling by car, note that from the parking lot you’ll have to carry your stroller to get to the lobby as there are no lifts.
